Community Groups (CGs)!!
Community Groups will be starting soon! We strongly suggest/encourage everyone to join a CG because it is a great way to meet new people and/or build relationships in a smaller group environment that just doesn’t happen on Sunday mornings.Be thinking about which night(s) of the week will work best for you and your family so when sign-ups arrive you are ready to go!
Jersey Sunday – September 12th
The Fall Semester has started which means so has football season! To kick it off we welcome everyone to wear their favorite sports jersey to church. In case you’re worried about backlash from people that don’t like your team…you may be comforted to know that our worship pastor will likely be wearing a Miami Dolphins jersey. So everything is fair game.
Understanding Sermon-Based Community Groups
Although Sermon-Based Community Groups may seem like a big shift from what we have done in the past, it’s really not. Here are some of the advantages:
- Greater emphasis on Scripture
- Everyone (guests and members) will be on the same page, knowing what will be discussed, without feeling that
missing previous weeks has put them at a disadvantage - More time for fellowship because there will not be a 30 minute video to watch
- The important topics (marriage, finances, raising kids, etc) will come up naturally in the Scripture.
Year of Living Dangerously – New Testament Challenge
Although reading the New Testament in 90 Days may not seem like ‘dangerous living,’ a person empowered by the Holy Spirit and clinging to the very Words of God is a threat to this world
