The Fall Semester is Here!!
We meet on Wednesday nights from 6:30—8pm at the Lodge*
*The Lodge is the church office building at 104 Hwy 71 W - next to the Bastrop Feed Store and Church’s Chicken
Now that you know the when and where, you’re probably asking… ”What do you do?” Great question! Here is the typical flow of a Wednesday night youth group session:
6:30—7pm > Students arrive and get to know each other.
- This happens through group games such as volleyball or Ninja (you’ll have to come to learn that one). If students do not want to play those games there is a lounge area to sit and chat, and also an Air Hockey table.
7:00—8pm > Biblical Lesson
- This part we try to mix up. Sometimes we break into grade and gender appropriate small groups. Other times we have more of a conversation in a large group setting. Sometimes this includes games that will lead into the lesson. The lessons range from topical issues students may be dealing with to just reading the Bible and helping them understand who God really is. We also try to leave room for Q&A as well.
Outside of Wednesday nights we have occasional youth gatherings that allow students to connect and build deeper friendships.
