Missions
at River Valley Christian Fellowship.
Acts 1:8 says, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.".
The DNA of River Valley has always emphasized service to Bastrop, the surrounding communities, and the world. River Valley is always searching for ways to answer this question with a resounding yes: “If our church were to close its doors, would Bastrop notice?”
In the past three years we have remodeled three local homes, participated in hurricane and fire relief, and helped build 2 churches and multiple homes in Acuna, Mexico with partners "Go Fish Ministries".
Now we are constantly looking for ways to impact Bastrop community and beyond. Our hope is to meet people where they are so they can see and hear the Good News of Jesus Christ and his unfathomable love for us.

Mission U-Too
To volunteer contact: Jason Bray @ 214-536-4446 or
- Monday nights from 5:15 - 7pm, Lumberyard Music Hall, across from the Post Office on Main Street in Downtown Bastrop.
Mission U-Too is a non-profit organization started by people within our church. It exists to feed people physically and spiritually. Every Monday night from 5:15 – 7:00pm, volunteers come together to make and distribute free hamburgers to the homeless, low income, and anyone else that shows up. It’s a no strings attached ministry intent on not only talking about, but showing people the love of God with our actions. After the food is distributed there is a small worship service. It’s not mandatory for people to attend that portion of the event, but it is our hope that people will stick around and hear about Jesus Christ…the reason we cannot help but put our love into action.
Other ways we are reaching out to the community:
- Bastrop Pregnancy Resource Center (bprc)
The bprc exists to create a safe place in a world of anxiety and confusion. This non-profit organization was started by a couple ladies in our church with a heart for pregnant teens and young women as well as the unborn boys and girls. They now seek to meet their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs for the glory of Jesus Christ! - Seasonal Outreach
During the holiday months we find families in need, assemble gift baskets full of food, and deliver them. This gives a Thanksgiving and Christmas to families that would otherwise have nothing. Our reasoning behind this is simply to be the hands and feet of Christ.
