MinistrY Opportunities
Start serving today!
Christian literally means “Little Christ.”
As Christians we should reflect the life and love of Jesus.
“I Am The Love” is about Christians living out the Greatest Commandment, “That we love God…and love our neighbors…” (Matthew 22:37, Mark 12:30, Luke 10:27) by plugging into one of the many opportunities available to serve.

- Monday nights from 5:15 - 7pm, Lumberyard Music Hall, across from the Post Office on Main Street in Downtown Bastrop.
Mission U-Too is a non-profit organization started by people within our church. It exists to feed people physically and spiritually. Every Monday night from 5:15 – 7:00pm, volunteers come together to make and distribute free hamburgers to the homeless, low income, and anyone else that shows up. It’s a no strings attached ministry intent on not only talking about, but showing people the love of God with our actions. After the food is distributed there is a small worship service. It’s not mandatory for people to attend that portion of the event, but it is our hope that people will stick around and hear about Jesus Christ…the reason we cannot help but put our love into action.

Love is more than a word.
It’s a response to God’s love. It’s an action:
“Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God, but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us. We know that we live in him and he in us, because he has given us his Spirit…In this way, love is made complete among us…because in this world we are like him.” I John 4:7-13, 17 (emphasis added)
