Born and raised in Texas, Brandon grew up in a suburb of Dallas/Ft. Worth. He's known for his smile - but even more for his heart for people.
Brandon graduated from McMurry University in Abilene, Texas in 2005. (Ask him about his "accidental" double minor including religion!) He'll tell you he grew up knowing about Jesus, but came to realize he never truly knew Him. After an indescribable transformation took place in his life, Brandon became passionate about living his life for God.
Brandon and Lori married in 2006. In 2007, their home church planted another church in Keller, TX. The couple was excited to be involved in the start-up process. They lead a small group in their apartment, and later partnered with a faith-based non-profit organization called Apartment Life (CARES). The goal of Apartment Life is to deliberately place teams of two to live onsite in the apartment with the specific purpose of transforming an apartment complex into an apartment community by building relationships. It was an amazing experience.
In September of 2008, God asked Brandon and Lori to take a big leap of faith and move to Bastrop. Everything fell into place in a seemingly supernatural way, and the two knew very clearly and with confidence that God wanted them here.
Brandon's title is Associate Pastor - which truly encompasses multiple roles. "I lead the youth, meet with people, and do whatever I can to make Cody's job easier," he says with a smile.
